Outside of lab, I like to participate in volunteering activities.

Public relation chair

Graduate Engineering Student Council (GESC), UVA, 2023-present

I manage GESC website and social media accounts along with the flyers of GESC events in order to advance community involvement across the university, especially across the School of Engineering & Applied Science disciplines.

Academic co-chair

Graduate Engineering Student Council (GESC), UVA, 2022-2023

I led the organization the annual University of Virginia Engineering Research Symposium (UVERS) in 2023 with participation of 200+ students along with 70 faculties and industry professionals.  This event brought all students from the school of engineering and applied science together to share their research and network with UVA alumni and industry professionals. 

Outreach chair

Association of Bangladeshi Students at University of Virginia, 2020-2021

Though it was a difficult time during the pandemic, I successfully co-organized online cultural events to exhibit the Bangladeshi culture into the UVA community along with other members of Association of Bangladeshi Students at University of Virginia. I also promoted these events through online platforms and social media and contribute in creating a diverse multicultural student community in UVA. 

Painting

In my free time, I love to paint and watch movies. I mostly used acrylic paints, and am trying to learn digital drawing recently.
